National Center for Science Education (NCSE)

The National Center for Science Education (NCSE) is an organization that works with teachers to help ensure accurate and effective teaching of climate change. Its online resources include misconception-based K–12 climate science curricula aligned with NGSS, searchable databases of lesson sets, and short instructional units called Climate Change Story Shorts that help students explore topics such as climate modeling, extreme weather, sustainable solutions, and evidence for climate change. NCSE also offers tools like DataWISE to strengthen data literacy, a podcast addressing climate misinformation, and a range of classroom-tested activities and teacher guides. These resources are designed to help educators address climate science, counter misinformation, and engage students in evidence-based learning.
